The Fat Smash Diet Review

The Fat Smash Diet is a structured diet plan for those who extremely need weight loss. This is primarily because the meal plans are literally tedious that an average dieter will not able to live with it.

The book is divided into four phases and of course the recommended foods are also grouped accordingly. The book lacks one important thing- calorie count. This is vital for each weight loss book in order for the dieter to understand at least why he or she has to undergo such strict plan. Calorie count would explain why this food should be taken instead of the other. Like food and medicine labels, nutrition facts are important as a guide for consumers.

The author at least listed some food that you are not allowed to eat and drinks too. It is not however specified what type or variant of the food is not allowed. For example, coffee is not allowed. It is not specified whether it is brewed or instant, or you can have decaffeinated coffee. The book allows you to eat oatmeal but it is not specified whether you can have the plain or flavored, or whether you can have instant oatmeal.

The author also missed the list of food that one should avoid. I am not sure if this would mean you cannot eat anything other than those listed in the book. Like other books, the dieter is required to exercise. The author does not however offer an explanation if this is applicable for all regardless of their lifestyle. Well, not all people who needs weight loss are has inactive lifestyle so a requirement for exercise is questionable.

Although this is not a cookbook, it would be very helpful for the dieter to have detailed recipes to follow. What the book offers is a list of food for each phase. That means you really have to make up your own. In the sample recipes, there are ingredients that are not included in the list of food. This is confusing because the author did not specify if those ingredients would benefit the dieter. For one thing, this may seem good for others because they can pick from the list the food that they like. However for those who do not cook or don’t have that much time to think about how to mix things, this is tragedy.

Fat Smash Diet is a long diet program compared to other plans. This is a 90-day cycle. The book however pointed out that after the 90 day cycle, the dieter should continue with the program (last phase) for a lifetime. The diet plan, even the last phase is too strict for one to stay with it for a lifetime. I wonder if this is the reason why the title said, “The last diet you’ll ever need?” This not impossible but is also hardly possible. There may be people who were able to completely change their eating habits after the 90 days period and be able to stick with it. I believe that for maintenance purposes, the diet should not stay that strict.
